Alert: Additional COVID Plan Requirements

As we have noted in the past, the Minnesota Department of Labor & Industry has required all businesses to implement a COVID-19 Preparedness Plan (“COVID Plan”).  Under recent Executive Order 20-81 issued on July 22, 2020, all COVID Plans must now be revised.  Specifically, all businesses must:

  • Update their COVID Plans to include the indoor face covering requirements;
  • Inform their workers how their COVID Plan has been updated;
  • Make the revised COVID Plan available to workers; and
  • Post one or more signs that are visible to all persons – including workers, customers, and visitors – instructing them to wear face coverings.

If our firm created your COVID Plan, we will provide you with the updated face covering language at no additional charge.  If your business has not yet created a COVID-19 Preparedness Plan, our firm can assist you in creating one for a flat fee of $500.  For more information please contact Blake Nelson at 952-746-2131 or bnelson@hjlawfirm.com.
