ALERT: City of Edina Expands Mask Order to Multi-Family Residential Properties

Effective July 9, 2020, the City of Edina expanded its Emergency Declaration requiring the wearing of masks in certain public places to require that residents and guests of multi-family housing buildings must wear masks when in common spaces. This order applies to multi-family residential properties located within Edina, including common interest communities.

Owners or managers of property subject to the order are required to post written notice of the Order at all points used by the public to access the property.

Properties that fail to comply shall be subject to administrative action for any licenses they possess with the City of Edina.

Several cities in Minnesota have recently adopted mandatory mask orders, and the Governor is currently considering whether to adopt a Statewide Order.

If your common interest community has questions regarding complying with an order or other issues related to COVID-19 preparedness, our firm can assist you. For more information please contact Joel Hilgendorf at 952-746-2167 or jhilgendorf@hjlawfirm.com.
