Hellmuth & Johnson is pleased to announce attorney Steven R. Liening has joined the firm as an associate in the litigation practice group.
Liening’s litigation practice focuses on construction disputes and real estate litigation. He has experience in personal injury cases, defamation matters, and trust disputes. Additionally, Liening has worked as public defender and in commercial litigation. He enjoys serving clients from diverse communities, as he lived abroad for several years working as an Arabic translator for the U.S. Army.
Liening earned his J.D. from the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law of the University of Memphis, M.Mus. from University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, B.M. from Brigham Young University, and A.A. from the Defense Language Institute – Foreign Language Center. He is licensed to practice in Minnesota State Courts, the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, and Wisconsin State Courts.
