Chad Johnson succeeds Blake Nelson, who was the managing partner for the past two years. Johnson previously had the responsibility of managing partner of the firm from 1994 to 2011. Johnson commented that “Blake did an outstanding job as managing partner, leading the firm to new heights while it continued to grow during a tough business market. My colleagues and I look forward to Blake serving in the role of managing partner again in the future.” Blake Nelson will continue to serve on the firm’s Board of Governors and as the firm’s chair of the Construction Law Group.
Chad Johnson co-founded the firm in 1994 and is the chair of the Real Estate Law Group. He serves a broad range of businesses, corporations and limited liability entities, including condominium, townhouse, cooperative and other community associations. Chad Johnson concentrates his business practice in the areas of business organization, general business and corporate representation, real estate law, and community association formation and maintenance.
As managing partner, Johnson will concentrate on solidifying the firm’s role as a leader in the Minnesota legal community, while continuing its historic growth trajectory. Johnson is a Minnesota State Bar Association Board Certified Real Property Law Specialist, a designation held by a select few Minnesota attorneys. He has extensive experience in all residential and commercial real estate matters, including real estate sales, acquisitions and leasing. Johnson obtained his J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law. He completed his undergraduate studies at St. Olaf College with a B.A. in economics.
